Hi! My name is Hanneke Weststeijn. I am an enthusiastic student following the courses of the master 'Industrial Design Engineering' at the University of Twente. Within this very interesting field of product and service development, I focus on the Management of the Product Development. 

I like being concerned. That is why I participate actively i.a. in my student association 'C.S.V. Alpha', my sorrority 'M.I.S.C.' and the student house where I live. Characteristics of me are my commitment and sense of responsibility, but also my independence, perfectionism and visionary view. I have a great perseverance, I am result oriented and take every opportunity I get. Working in a team arouses me; I love that each talent can be used within a team. I use my broad interest in people and society preferably to invest in creating a more beautiful world, both literally and figuratively.

 

Within the management of the product development process, strategic management is my key interest. I think it is important to find the business focus first (its vision, mission, and brand image) and share this focus with the whole company. The right focus results into high quality products with a great market fit.

In addition, I like to translate of this business focus into a strong portfolio of products (including product variance) and innovative R&D projects. My mission is to make the world a more transparant place, where businesses supply high quality products and take responsibility for their influence on the world and society.
